We're going to pump up your ear for English!  Cecilia cuenta un chiste sobre la cara de Brian: "Does your face hurt?"  Despues, en "That's English," hablamos de vocabulario y dichos relacionado con el cuerpo. Por ejemplo, Look me in the eye; You are a pain in the neck; You are breaking my heart; You are making my head spin; and You are pulling my leg.

In "English of the Rich and Famous," we learn about "Valley Girl" English by listening to an excerpt from the movie "Clueless." Like, it's really, like, not something you like want to imitate, ok?

En Tu Ingles Sesion 13, hablamos del crimen y la aplicación de la ley en Estados Unidos. Estudiamos palabras incluyendo burglar, thief, prisoner, prison, jail, and court. We also study the expressions "according to" and "I was surprised," along with the use of the verb "to seem" and the related expressions "it seems" and "apparently."

En la parte "That's English," practicamos escuchando algo Brian dice "English accelerants." Son contractions especiales que los norteamericanos usan para acelerar el idioma.

In "English of the Rich and Famous," we hear an excerpt from a 1971 speech by American feminist Gloria Steinem.  She talks about how the sexual revolution is really about humanism.

En Tu Ingles Sesion 12, viajamos virtualmente con Cecilia a New York. In the part "What Do You Say?" Cecilia checks in to a hotel, makes smalltalk on the elevator, and uses the telephone to complain about a problem. Nuevo vocabulario incluye going to, never mind, huge, and quiet/quite.

En la parte "English of the Rich and Famous," escuchamos una entrevista con Madonna, y aprendemos expresiones como "you know," "it's about," y "that's it."

En Tu Ingles Sesion Once, hablamos de Cinco de Mayo. Es un festivo importante en los Estados Unidos ... but some people think the drinking is a problem. El vocabulario nuevo incluye confused, confusing, despite, joke, battle, encourage, and drinking.

In English of the Rich and Famous, we listen to Diana, Princess of Wales, talk about her depression after the birth of Prince William. In the process, we learn some new expressions, including "I have to" and "caught up."
