Tue, 22 September 2009  En Tu Ingles Sesion 40, solo vamos a practicar cuatro palabras! Son los adjetivos demostrativos en ingles: this, that, these, y those. Es algo basico pero muy importante. You need to use demonstrative adjectives correctly to sound like a native! Con la ayuda de Cecilia y unas canciones, ojala puedas aprender y recordar "this, that, and the other thing." Hola Brian! Me gustan mucho tus podcast, pero me gustaría preguntarte si tienes pensado hacer uno de los llamados "false friends", que son palabras que se traducen mal por su parecido con el español.
Por ejemplo:
actually NO ES actualmente SI NO realmente
comprehensive NO ES comprensivo SI NO exhaustivo
sensible NO ES sensible SI NO sensato
physician NO ES físico SI NO médico
etc, etc, etc...
Conocer los más importantes es uan gran ayuda para no obtener traducciones confusas.

Hi David, thanks for your message! We talked about some "amigos falsos" in Tu Ingles Sesion 9, but I actually like your suggestion. It's very sensible, and my goal is to be comprehensive! :) So maybe we can do another sesion on false friends soon! Brian
